ROCHESTER - Richard T. Kulp Sr., of Rochester, died at Hyder House, Dover, on February 28, 2014. Born November 17, 1930, in Rochester NY, he enlisted in the Navy, serving active duty with a Seabee unit during the Korean War and retired from USN reserves in 1990. He married Joyce E. DeGrave in 1957 in a double ceremony with his brother Ronald and Patricia Wahl.
Richard earned his B.S. in Business at Marietta College, Ohio, in 1960 and worked for General Electric as an Accounting Manager till 1975. His later work life included owning and running a campground, managing accounts at Craig Supply in Durham and as an appraiser for MMC, Chelmsford, Mass.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman and took great delight in passing down his skills to family and friends. He was also a Scoutmaster for many years. He lived his life with strong convictions, conservative values and love for family, country and nature.
He is survived by Richard Jr. of Nottingham, Kristin Abbott of Falmouth, Mass., Cynthia Babineau of Rochester, and Kimberly Hirsch of Portsmouth, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
