ROCHESTER - Richard N. Spagnola, 57, died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 4, 2015.
Richard (also affectionately known as "Richie" and "Spag") was born in Plainfield, N.J. on December 11, 1957, the son of Norman and Mary (Sylvester) Spagnola and had been living in the seacoast area since 1977, when he moved from New Jersey.
He held a maintenance position at Strafford County Jail and was an active member of the Triangle Club in Dover, N.H. He loved his family dearly and was supremely proud of all of them. His sense of humor and endless supply of "Spagisms" always provided countless laughs for everyone he knew. He enjoyed the free and peaceful feeling of the wind and sun on his face while riding his motorcycle. Rich was a great friend to many people and was always available to help them when they needed support.
Surviving members of Rich's family include: one daughter, Lindsey (Spagnola) French and her husband Ronnie of Rochester, N.H., one son, Andrew Spagnola of Newmarket, N.H., his siblings, Gil Spagnola and his wife Pat, Sandee Malenky and her husband Ronnie, and Norma James of N.J. and Betty Ann Alencewicz and her husband Michael of Pa., one grandchild, Mia Spagnola and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
