ROCHESTER - On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Rhonda Lee LaValley (Trombley), 61, tragically succumbed to serious injuries resulting from a fall in her home.
Rhonda was born in Ogdensburg, N.Y., the daughter of the late Richard Trombley Sr. of Ogdensburg, and the late Rita Bishop of Rochester. She is predeceased by her parents; Husband, Gerard "Jerry" LaValley; and sister, Tina Biron. Rhonda is survived by her brothers, Richard Trombley and James "Jim" Trombley; Children, Kari Smith, Justin LaValley, Destiny Moore (LaValley), and Deborah Lugo (LaValley); Stepchildren, Dannielle Smith (LaValley) and Jason Berube; Grandchildren, Dylan, Dominic, Jason Jr., Hunter, Emma and Kinslee; Great grandchild, Korinne; and many other family members including nieces, nephews, and cousins.
As a mom of 6, Rhonda was extremely proud of earning a degree from UNH in 1995, and proudly worked in the dietary services department at Wentworth Douglass Hospital for 27 years until she retired. She was well-known for her loving support of her children at sporting events, her kindness and willingness to help any and everybody, and the unconditional love for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed a hot beach day, playing bingo, having Sunday dinners with the family, baking, and having tea parties with her granddaughter, Emma. Rhonda will truly be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.
