BARRINGTON - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) will host a Public Informational Meeting to discuss the rehabilitation or replacement of two culverts on US Route 4 in Barrington.

The meeting will be held at the Barrington Town Hall, 4 Signature Drive, Barrington, Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and participate.

The purpose of these projects is to address the capacity and condition of two culverts approximately three-quarters of a mile west of the Lee roundabout. One culvert is west of Topaz Drive carrying Caldwell Brook and the other culvert is east of Topaz Drive carrying the Oyster River. This is the first of three planned public meetings and will include a presentation on the existing condition, the proposed alternatives, and the proposed schedule.

Citizens and public officials will have an opportunity to ask questions and share their thoughts regarding existing deficiencies to ensure that the project decisions meet public transportation needs and community goals and protect and enhance the environment.
