Probe continues into discovery of newborn's body in Manchester pond

MANCHESTER - A suspicious death investigation continues today following the discovery of a deceased newborn in the area of Pine Island Pond last week.

Manchester Police located the baby after they responded to a call reporting a body in the water at Pine Island Park, located off Brown Avenue.

An autopsy was unable to determine the newborn's cause of death without further tests, but the Chief Medical Examiner did confirm that the child was a newborn female. Her identity also remains unknown.

Investigators are requesting the public's assistance.
