LEBANON - State Police said today more than a dozen Lebanon residences have been robbed since last month, and they suspect at least some of those crimes are the work of a burglary ring targeting homes during daytime hours.

The burglaries have occurred at residences all over town and include both forced and unforced entry, said Maine State Police Trooper Kyle Wells. He said in all cases the homeowners were not at home.
Items stolen include jewelry, prescription medication, cash, strongboxes often containing cash and other valuable documents, and electronics.
“Most of these robberies have to do with drugs, either they’re looking for prescription drugs, or the money to buy drugs,” Wells said.
Some of the roads hit include, River Road, Jim Grant Road, West Lebanon Road, Chick Road and Upper Guinea Road, but they are basically everywhere, he said.
He said State Police do have some suspects, but at this time no one has been charged.
Burglary of a dwelling, whether forced or unforced, is a felony.
