BEDFORD - A New Hampshire man was arrested on Friday in a road rage incident in which police say he pointed a loaded handgun at another driver.

Troopers from the New Hampshire State Police Troop B Barracks were dispatched to the incident that unfolded on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua around 10 a.m. The vehicles involved were reported to have entered the Everett Turnpike in the area of Exit 5 in Nashua when one of the motorists pointed a loaded firearm at the other, according to a statement from the Dept. of Safety released Friday afternoon.

Troopers were able to intercept both parties at the Bedford Tolls where John Reed, 47, of Greenville, was arrested following a roadside investigation.

Reed is scheduled to appear in Hillsborough Superior Court later this month to face charges of reckless conduct and criminal threatening.
