EAST ROCHESTER - Rochester Police are investigating and charges seem likely in what appears to be a hit-and-run accident Wednesday on Main Street in East Rochester.
The incident occurred a little after 4 p.m. when officers responded to Main Street in East Rochester for a motor vehicle collision where multiple vehicles were involved.
Once on scene police found a black GMC Sierra with significant front end damage with no other vehicles around it. Further down the road they found a white Jeep Liberty in the middle of the roadway with significant front end damage and two parked vehicles, one with significant rear end damage and the other with minor rear end damage.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the 2012 Jeep Liberty, driven by Corey Theriault, 26, of Henriette Street, in Manchester, was traveling on Main Street in the area of Green Street, and struck a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by Wayne Phillips, 63, of Weare Street. East Rochester.

After striking the Sierra, the Jeep appears to have headed farther on Main Street and struck two parked vehicles, coming to rest in the middle of the roadway.
There were no injuries reported.
All vehicles were towed from the scene, and traffic was limited to one lane on Main Street while the vehicles were removed.
Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors, but the investigation continues and charges appear likely.
