Police probe of Friday pedestrian accident continues; condition of victim unknown

ROCHESTER - A pedestrian injured on Friday night when he was struck by a vehicle near Blue Seal Feeds on Portland Street has been identified as an adult male, Rochester Police said on Saturday.

The man was struck by a blue minivan around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Portland and Signal streets.

The victim was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with what were described as serious but nonlife threatening injuries.
The Strafford County Accident Reconstruction team responded to assist with the investigation into the cause of the accident.
The Rochester Voice was unable to confirm the man's condition as his name has not yet been released by police.
