Police probe death of elderly Exeter woman who died from blunt trauma

EXETER - State and local police today are investigatin the suspicious death of an elderly woman in Exeter.

Police first got involved on Sunday when they were notified of the death of the woman inside 133 Front St. Unit 4.

While the cause of death was not immediately apparent. an autopsy conducted on Tuesday revealed that the woman suffered blunt impact injuries and that the nature of her death was not natural.

Investigators are currently speaking with other household members. The identity of the deceased female is not being released until all next of kin have been notified.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.
