ROCHESTER - A Rochester motorist was arrested on Saturday for impaired driving after police say he was spotted drinking by another motorist.
"We responded to Hannaford on North Main Street for a report of a male in a vehicle drinking bourbon and chasing it with coke," Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham said today.
Pinkham said officers arrived on scene to find the vehicle running and Ian Martin, 42, of River Street, in the driver's seat.
Pinkham said during an investigation officers determined there was an open container of alcohol in the vehicle, and Martin was under the influence.
Martin was arrested and released on personal recognizance bail with an arraignment in Rochester District Court set for later this month.
