ROCHESTER - Rochester Police have wrapped up their investigation into a hit-and-run accident that occurred last month with no charges filed.
Part of the investigation included officers canvassing for video surveillance, which ended up being helpful in the probe, according to Rochester Police Public Information Officer Andrew Swanberry.
The accident occurred on March 9 around 6:30 p.m in the area of South Main and Franklin streets.
The investigation revealed that an adult male was crossing in the crosswalk at a controlled intersection, against the "Don't Walk" signal, Swanberry said.
"A vehicle that had a green light was traveling through the intersection struck the male," Swanberry added. "The vehicle operator stopped, asked the male if they were OK, to which they replied that they were."
Swanberry said the vehicle operator then left the scene, and the male, who had just minor injuries, went to Frsibie Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
