Police: Body of person found near jetty may have been fishing

HAMPTON - Police are trying to identify the body pulled Wednesday from the Hampton River.

The body was discovered around 7:30 a.m., following a report of a possible body in the Hampton River.

The victim was dressed in fishing attire and believed to have possibly been fishing off the Hampton jetty.

Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is asked to contact Sergeant Stephen O'Connor at (603) 227-2114 or Stephen.J.O'Connor@dos.nh.gov.
