ROCHESTER - Rochester Police released new information on Friday regarding a East Rochester boy missing a week who they now believe is seeking to make his way to the western U.S.
Cacidy Mowry, 15, was last seen in East Rochester around 10 p.m. last Friday. Since then, his family has had no contact with him.
It is believed Cacidy hitched a ride to a bus station in Dover on Saturday morning, and took a C&J bus to Boston's South Station, where he got off around 8:30 a.m.
Cacidy is described as around 5-foot-10 with red hair and freckles. He was last seen wearing dark gym shorts, a graphic T-shirt, black sneakers, and carrying a backpack. The last confirmed sighting of Cacidy occurred around midnight last Friday when he was spotted on a Ring camera approaching a house in East Rochester before he turned and walked away.
The famiy has been conducting their own nsearch and continues to work with the community to locate him. They are now asking for additional help in distributing flyers.
