Due to a scheduled campaign stop for President Trump, the City of Rochester is advising residents and motorists to be aware of the possibility of increased traffic and limited parking today starting around 1 p.m. and ending at 9 p.m.

Some areas and roadways in the general vicinity of City Hall will be blocked or rerouted for security purposes. Expect heightened security, increased vehicle traffic and pedestrians, and limited downtown parking.

A large portion of the municipal parking lot behind City Hall (in front of the Police Department) will be used for the event. The remaining parking spots available to the public will be restricted to handicapped parking only.

The event is hosted independently by the Rochester Opera House -- not the City of Rochester. However, due to the high profile of the former president, the City is required to provide a police detail and additional medical personnel in the case of an emergency.

The event is ticketed through the former President's campaign. Attendees are required to have a ticket to enter the theater.
