ROCHESTER - Some motorists and pedestrians may have been alarmed on Monday when they saw three Rochester Police cruisers parked near the corner of Bridge and North Maine streets with one cruiser parked in the exit lane of the Citizens Bank located in the old Foster's building.
Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham, the department's public information officer, however, said the reason for the activity there had nothing to do with the bank but was a result of a traffic stop involving a protective order in an ongoing domestic case.
Pinkham said the stop resulted in them identifying the two parties in the vehicle as the plaintiff and defendant in the protective order.
As a result an arrest was made, he said.
As a longstanding policy Rochester Police do not identify those arrested in DV matters.
