Pedestrian injured in accident at corner of Portland and Signal streets

ROCHESTER - A pedestrian was injured on Friday night when they were struck by a car near the corner of Portland and Signal streets.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. near Blue Seal Feeds, according to Rochester Police Capt. Todd Pinkham.
The victim was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious but nonlife threatening injuries.
The Strafford County Accident Reconstruction team responded to assist with the investigation into the cause of the accident.
Traffic was diverted around the scene for a couple of hours.
