Parts of Columbus Ave shut down on Saturday

ROCHESTER - Columbus Avenue (Route 125) between Brock Street and Old Dover will be closed to through traffic for three houses on Saturday.

The closure will be in effect from 7-10 a.m.

Work is scheduled for the removal of the pedestrian bridge over the Cocheco River, which is adjacent to Route 125 immediately north of Brock Street.

Through-traffic will be restricted at this location while a large crane is set up to remove the pedestrian bridge.
