ROCHESTER - Rochester area residents may want to try to avoid Union Street in downtown Rochester on Wednesday as the city's DPW will temporarily close one of the lanes to replace a fire hydrant.

The right lane of the road will be closed during the installation.

Work is scheduled to begin around 7:30 a.m. and expected to be completed by 3 p.m.

Hervey's Tire and Yo's Thai Cuisine will remain open and accessible, according to a release from the city.
