DOVER - Two Rochester transients have been indicted in the February theft of commercial equipment from a Rochester business.

Jonathan Dube, 35, and Jason William Laskey, 43, both face up to seven years in state prison in connection with the case.

According to court paperwork, the pair did "receive or retain the property of another, Ossipee Aggregates, knowing that it had been stolen or believing that it had probably been stolen."

The thefts of the equipment occurred on or about Feb. 18.

Following the thefts Rochester Police released surveillance images of a pair of suspects at Ossipee Aggregates on Northcoast Drive appearing to remove equipment, which included air compressor, a dolly holding a large torch/welding cylinder tank, space heater and generator, police said.

The indictments address their receiving the stolen items, not committing the thefts.

Laskey faces another three and a half to seven years imprisonment for his Feb. 21 arrest for allegedly possessing the controlled drug buprenorphine.

The indictments were handed down Sept. 18 and released last week.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been brought forward to warrant a trial.
