NORTH KINGSTON, R.I. - Ocean State Job Lot this week began its efforts to transport essential supplies to communities across multiple southern states that were severely impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

OSJL has partnered once again with its generous customers and the United Cajun Navy, who is on the ground with numerous organizations in the ravaged area, and will ensure the supplies are delivered directly to those who need them.

On Wednesday one of two full tractor trailers left OSJL's distribution center in North Kingstown, R.I., containing about 20 pallets of personal and household cleaning and sanitization supplies. The second trailer contained a full load of nutritious, shelf-stable meals suitable for adults and children. On Thursday OSJL sent a trailer of seasonally-appropriate clothing and outerwear in a full range of sizes and styles.

"Our hearts go out to all of our neighbors to our south who have felt the effects of these devastating hurricanes," said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. "We continue to assess the needs of those impacted by both Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, and with the help of our generous and loyal customers, we are committed to shipping truckloads of additional supplies as fast as we can to provide further help to those in affected communities."

All donated supplies were purchased at cost, in part through donations made by customers at each OSJL store to the 501(c)(3) Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation to support the relief efforts. Monetary donations are being accepted in-store and online at: https://www.oceanstatejoblot.com/osjl-charitable-foundation.
