One killed, one injured in fiery collision involving tractor-trailer unit

CONWAY - One person was killed and one injured when a tractor-trailer unit collided with a pickup truck Friday in Conway.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m. on East Main Street when police say a 2022 Peterbilt Tractor pulling a 2009 Manac Trailer traveling eastbound crossed the centerline and struck the Ford F150 pickup truck headed westbound igniting fires in both vehicles.

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene, while the driver of the tractor-trailer unit, Andrew Ouellette, 35, was treated for minor injuries at Memorial Hospital.
