ROCHESTER - Rochester's thin blue line will be staying thin this weekend, but what a cruel joke it was.
On Saturday afternoon an unknown individual dropped off a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts, or so it seemed.
But when offices lifted the lid, they were saddened to find out they'd been duped.
"A citizen dropped off what our evening shift thought was a delicious dozen donuts, but they didn't stick around so we could thank them," a post on the Rochester Police Facebook page noted. "To our sadness when we opened the box this is what we found, a truly cruel prank and we now know why it was a drop and go."
Inside the box there was no delicious doughnuts, but instead an insufferable veggie platter, drawing the ire of the entire department.
"Currently, we have called in the detective division to review security cameras and help determine the identity of this evil individual," a post on the Rochester Police Facebook page stated. "We will spare no expense to bring this individual to justice."
