ROCHESTER - Roland J. "Sam" Doyon Sr., 78, of 13 Silver Bell Mobile Home Park died Thursday Nov. 14, 2013, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born July 31, 1935, in Rochester, the son of the late Ernest and Alfreda (Hebert) Doyon. He resided in Rochester all of his life and worked as a foreman and color matcher for Northern Heel in Dover, N.H. He served in the Air Force. Mr. Doyon was a member of the DAV, AARP and the Club Victoire of Rochester. He was also a member of the Broken Spokes Motorcycle Club and a communicant of St. Mary Church. His hobbies included golfing, playing pool, watching game shows and he was an avid fan of the N.E. Patriots. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Zephryhills, Fla.
Members of his family include his wife of 14 years, Beatrice (Potvin) Doyon, Rochester; family, Deborah, Christopher, Mira and Nelia McKenney, Cheryl and Tabatha Moulton, Jennifer, Wencil Chandler, Adrian and Ava Sutton, Melissa, Mike and Braden Daigneault, Patricia, Samantha and Damien Wentworth, Randee, Chris and Wesley Stilson, Roland Jr., Debra, Roland III, Anthony and Joshua Doyon, Allan Doyon, Randy Doyon, Mike Talhouk, Robin and Donald Perkins, Robert Huntress, son Bobby and daughter, Nicole; many nieces and nephews, cousins. He was predeceased by Benoit and Dixie Doyon, Theresa and Paul McCann, Violet Jacques, Mitchell and Millie Doyon, Estelle and Bertrand Carignan.
