ROCHESTER - Robert F. Wentworth, 87, of Portland St., passed away July 11, 2013, at home, surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.

He was born on July 8, 1926, in Dover, the son of Roland and Regina Wentworth. Bobby worked many years in shoe factories, spending 20 years as head of the shipping department at Shevenell's. He retired in 1989. Bobby loved music, playing guitar professionally for over 50 years in many local clubs. Bobby loved spending time with family, jamming with friends and family at cookouts, going places and being the life of the party. He said to everyone, "God love ya."

Bobby is survived by his former wife and friend, Peg, their son, Gary Wentworth and his wife Dorothy, stepson Dana Ellis, his brother, Rudolph Wentworth, three sisters, Dolores Crouch, Gloria Labrecque, and Dorothy Hilton, two grandchildren, Kaden Wentworth and Zachary Fortier and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Norman (Terry) Wentworth; and sister, Jeanine Pence and several aunts and uncles.

He was a great father, grandfather, brother and friend. Bobby was always kind, gentle, helpful and generous to everyone he met. He will also be remembered for his smile, making people laugh and the love he gave all of us. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. God love ya.

There will be a memorial service at his son's residence at a future date.
