ROCHESTER - Robert 'Bob' Cormier, 83, of Dry Hill Road died Tuesday November 26, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 18, 1929 in Somersworth he is the son of Raymond and Valea (Maoisan) Cormier.
Bob has lived in Rochester for the past 63 years. He loved music, being talented with playing the piano, keyboard and when he was younger the guitar. He was very active with his band "The Moonlight Melodies", who played at area square dances and the local Moose Lodges in Dover and Portsmouth. Hhe even had the opportunity to play on the Ms. Mount Washington. Bob was a craftsman, building furniture, wooden models and he even built his own home. He loved his garden which brought much joy. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting rabbits.
Members of his family include his wife of 63 years, Sonia (Pepin) Cormier of Rochester, his son, Richard Cormier of Rochester, his daughters; Pauline Croteau and her husband Charles of Strafford, Patricia Edsall and her husband David of Ellsworth Maine, Diane McWilliams and her husband Charles of Phippsburg, Maine, Rachel Graham of Rochester, Mary Jane Gagne and her husband Raymond of Rollinsford and Suzanne Jolin and her husband Mark of Rochester; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his brothers; Rene and Leo Cormier both of Rochester and Gary Cormier of Berwick, Maine. He predeceased by a grandchild, his brothers; Norman, Paul, Bernard Cormier.
