ROCHESTER - Louise Lavertue, 68, of 12 Bramber died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, surrounded by her family at her home after a long illness.

She was born Oct. 16, 1944, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of the late Arthur George and Rose Aimee (Taillon) Ramsey. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, Class of 1963. She has resided in Rochester for the past 50 years previously living in Berlin. Louise worked for Thompson Center for 34 years as well as Davidson Rubber in Farmington and Dover and Spaulding Fiber in Gonic. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Rochester, N.H. 

Louise loved spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Her kind heart will be missed. 

Members of her family include her daughter, Kimberly A.(Ramsey) Henry and husband James M. Henry; grandchildren, Mason Henry and Jenna "Ryan" Henry all of Rochester, her siblings, Priscilla Tremblay and husband, Philip, Berlin, N.H., Pete Ramsey and wife Helen, Upton, Mass., Sylvio Ramsey and wife Laura, Dover, N.H., Julie Bilodeau and husband Gaston, Rochester, N.H., sister-in-law Doris Ramsey, Berlin, N.H., a longtime friend and companion, Gerard Rouleau, Somerworth, N.H., many nieces, nephews, great nieces Abby Kosko, Madison Joy and great nephews Jacob Kosko, Cameron Joy and Cole Bilodeau.

She was predeceased by brothers, Lucien "Gene" Ramsey and Frank Ramsey, both of Berlin. She was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lavertue Jr., of Rochester and a close friend John Bradley of Berwick, Maine.

Family and friends may visit Monday, 6-9 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 71 Lowell Street, Rochester with Fr. Daniel Sinibaldi as celebrant.

Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester, NH following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hematology and Oncology Center, Portsmouth Regional Hospital 333 Borthwick Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Portsmouth Hematology and Oncology Center.
