Beverly Jean McCarthy

MILTON - Beverly Jean (Bassett) McCarthy, 55, of Charles Street died peacefully April 20, 2013, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 5, 1957 in Boston Mass., a daughter of Eugene F. McCarthy Sr. and Margaret A. (McKenzie) McCarthy. She lived in Milton for more than 35 years.
She attended Spaulding High School in Rochester. She worked for many years as a cook and bartender. She loved being around people.
She was married in 1974 to Bob Bassett. Together they had two children Justin Bassett of Vergennes, Vt. and Jill Bassett of Rochester. Her four grandchildren are Noah Jones, 15, Emma Bassett, 11, Cyron Bassett, 7, and Hayden Bassett, 5.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her kids and grandkids. She was a great mom who always said "The two best things I ever did was having my two children." She loved telling stories and helping anyone that needed it. She loved spending time at the beach and being outside.
Beverly was predeceased by her father in 2010, her mother-in-law Dorothy Bassett in 2009, and her father-in-law John Bassett in 1984.
There will be a celebration of her life at the Community Church, 7 Steeple St., Milton, N.H., on Saturday, May 4, at noon.
