FARMINGTON - Anthony (Tony) Norman Nadeau, 57, of 1051 Ten Rod Road died Sunday April 14, 2013 in Farmington as a result of an automobile accident.
Tony was born July 6, 1955 in Rochester, the son of Flora (Page) Nadeau and the late Lionel Nadeau who died in 1969. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne. He resided in the Rochester area most of his life, having spent a few years living in Hawaii. His work career started at the age of 16 at Davidson Rubber, but he was most recently employed in construction with Bougie Construction.
He was a proud member of the Sons of American Legion Post #7 and the Moose Club of Milton. He was also a former member of the Club Victoire. In his younger years Tony was an outstanding athlete, excelling in basketball, softball, and football. As a youngster he earned the New England Championship in the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, playing pool, golfing, and his much loved horseshoe league play. He also enjoyed traveling as he loved exploring new places and meeting new people. Tony had a generous heart and spent a great deal of time volunteering in the community and helping out family and friends whenever he was needed.
Members of his family include his loving mother, Flora Nadeau and brother, Robert Nadeau both of Rochester, sisters, Christina Corriveau of Bullhead City, Ariz., Page Smith and husband Jeff of Jewett City, Conn., many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous dear and loving friends whom he considered family.
Family and friends may visit Tuesday April 23, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester N.H.
A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
