Newmarket man dies in Candia motorcycle crash

CANDIA - A 44-year-old Newmarket man died when his motorcycle lrashed on Route 101 in Candia on Saturday.

Police say the crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. as Ralph Cummings was headed eastbound at a high rate of speed.

Witnesses reported Cummings lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle in a fishtailing fashion, then crashed within the travel lanes of the road. He was not wearing a helmet.

He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash, police said.

All aspects of the crash remain under investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has information that may assist in the investigation, is asked to contact Trooper Seth Parker via email at Seth.K.Parker@DOS.NH.GOV.
