Musical guests set for Tuckaway's artisan weekend

WEST LEBANON – Music has been added to Tuckaway Tree Farm’s inaugural Open House and Artisan Weekend on Oct. 12 and 13.

Diane Holbrook and her quartet will be playing music on Saturday at 1 p.m. and other musicians and groups will be performing at various times.

This two-day event will showcase some 15 local artisans and a wide variety of artistic creations. All artisans represented are from Lebanon and surrounding areas.

Tuckaway Tree Farm owner Lynne Park hopes to make the weekend an annual event.

Examples of locally made products for sale will include wood turned bowls and writing instruments, block prints, pottery, water color paintings and pencil sketchings, knitted angora wool products, handmade mittens and hats, primitive art, log furniture and local jams and jellies. In addition, the Lebanon Ladies Circle will have specialty food items available for purchase and will be donating all proceeds to the Lebanon Scholarship fund.

Also co-participating in this weekend event are Prospect Hill Winery and Belgian Meadows Farm – two local businesses that offer excellent locally made wines and great family fun farm activities including pumpkins and hay rides.

During the weekend event hamburgers, hotdogs and other food offerings will be available.

Tuckaway Tree Farm is located at 301 Shapleigh Road at the corner of Dixon Road in Lebanon. Open House and Artisan Weekend will be a rain or shine event. Show hours are set both days at 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
