DOVER - A Milton man has been indicted on fentanyl possession charges in connection with an August incident in Rochester.
Heath Richard Ellis, 35, of 44 Laurie Lane, faces up to 14 years in state prison on two counts of possession of the controlled drug.
Ellis was arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 after reports came into Rochester Police dispatch for a suspicious subject who was looking into vehicles with a flashlight on Old Farm Lane.
Moments later a Rochester police officer came upon Ellis, who was taken into custody on two counts of drug possession without incident.
Heath also faces a maximum fine of $50,000.
The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Oct. 18 and released last week.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to warrant a trial.
