DOVER, N.H. - A Milton man has been indicted on drug possession and DWI charges.
Paul Descar, 32, of 563 White Mountain Highway, was arrested for drunken driving on Aug. 20 after he was stopped on Route 16 in Rochester.
The same day he was charged with possession of Alprazolam, an anti-anxiety drug; and Tramadol, a synthetic opioid pain medication.
The DWI charge, a Class A misdemeanor, carries a maximum sentence of one year in county jail, while the drug charges are Class B felonies punishable by up to 14 years in state prison if convicted on both counts.
The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Nov. 19 and released on Tuesday.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
