Milton man found guilty, fined on stalking charge

ROCHESTER - A Milton man was found guilty on Tuesday of stalking in connection with an ongoing feud with another local man.

Brandon Henner, 35, of Ripley Lane, was fined $500 with $400 suspended, can have no contact with the victim and must be on good behavior for a year, according to the judge’s sentence.

The stalking complaint was filed Jan. 9.

Henner earlier this year pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor simple assault charge stemming from a Jan. 1 incident in which he assaulted Christopher Forcier at his home on Christopher Lane in Milton. He paid a $310 fine, after much of it was suspended, pending a promise of good behavior for one year.

 The two later got into a confrontation 10 days later on July 11 near the intersection of Vachon Drive and Townhouse Road in Milton when police say Forcier tried to run down Henner after spotting him near a mailbox with some friends. Police allege Henner jumped to avoid being hit by Forcier’s truck and fell into the truckbed, then fell through the truck’s rear window after it crashed. It is alleged Forcier then stabbed him.

Forcier and his public defender Cynthia Robinson said at a probable cause hearing that it was Henner who was the attacker, not Forcier, and that Henner jumped in the truck and initiated the attack.

Forcier is currently free on $10,000 cash bail.

Henner, 35, of Ripley Lane, was arrested at the scene of the Townhouse Road incident for violating bail conditions for being in close proximity to Forcier.

Meanwhile, Forcier is awaiting possible indictment by a Strafford County grand jury on two felony counts as a result of the Jan. 11 incident: reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and first degree assault. Forcier is also facing indictment for being a felon in possession of a firearm as a result of police finding a .22 caliber rifle at his residence on Jan. 1 when the initial dispute between the two began.
