MILTON - A Milton man was arrested early today after police say he got into an argument and beat another man at a residence on Wilson Street.
Maxwell Boles, 21, of White Mountain Highway was charged with second degree assault and is being arraigned today on the charges.
Police say they were called to 9 Wilson St. at 3:44 a.m. for the report of an assault and a victim bleeding.
Officers were advised that the suspect had left on foot. When they contacted Boles, they found evidence that he had been involved in the altercation.
The officers then found the victim bleeding from the head in the living room. The victim, who reportedly had blacked out due to the assault, was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
Police say the investigation revealed that Boles had reportedly struck the victim in the head multiple times with a wooden cutting board and continued to punch and kick the victim after he fell to the ground.
Police say it appears both Boles and the victim had been drinking.
