LEBANON, Maine - Maura Skeffington, 68, died on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, after a period of failing health. Born on October 7, 1949 in Lowell, Mass., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Margaret C. (Keane) Kelly.
Maura had lived in Lebanon since 1977 after moving from Tewksbury, Mass. She was employed in the Medical Records Department at Wentworth Douglass Hospital. She also was a past secretary to the planning board of Lebanon and a former Girl Scout leader.
Maura enjoyed playing Keno and slot machines; going to the beach and collecting rocks; eating out; and spending time with her grandchildren.
Members of her family include her sons, James Skeffington of Lebanon and Brian Skeffington and his wife, Julie, also of Lebanon; a daughter, Ellie Arsenault and her husband, Brian, of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Tayler, Owen, Brynn, Alyssa and Kaley; and a brother, Brian Kelly, of Connecticut.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Skeffington, who passed away in 2014.
