CONCORD - Police say a Boston man was arrested on Friday after he was found with some 1.5 pounds of fentanyl.
Mariano Andres Santos, 29, was arrested in North Conway on drug trafficking charges.
The Attorney General's Office said the 770 grams of fentanyl were intended for sale in the area.
Santos was arraigned on Tuesday in Carroll County Superior Court. He is currently being held without bail in preventative detention, pending a further bail hearing to be held Feb. 24.
A pound and a half of fentanyl is worth about $150,000 on the street, according to Maine DEA officials.
