REVERE, Mass. - Manchester, N.H., and Massachusetts State Police began searching an area of Revere on Friday as part of the investigation into the murder of then-five-year-old Harmony Montgomery in December 2019.
Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released at this time, a statement from the New Hampshire Attorney Generals Office said on Friday. The AG's office also urged caution against any speculation related to the potential results of this search.
After months of wide speculation that he was to blame, the father of Harmony Montgomery was arrested in her death in October.
Adam Montgomery, 32, was charged with second degree murder for "recklessly causing the death of Harmony Montgomery, a person under 13 years of age, by repeated striking Harmony Montgomery in the head with a closed fist" in Manchester on or about Dec. 7, 2019.
Montgomery was also charged with falsifying physical evidence for purposely altering, destroying, concealing, or removing the body of Harmony between Dec. 7, 2019, and March 4, 2020; abuse of corpse for purposely and unlawfully removing, concealing or destroying the corpse of Harmony or any part thereof, in Manchester between approximately Dec. 7, 2019, and March 4, 2020; and tampering with witnesses by causing Kayla Montgomery, Harmony's stepmom, to testify or inform falsely, in Manchester between around Dec. 7, 2019, and Jan. 4, 2022.
