MANCHESTER - The man gunned down on a Manchester street on Saturday died of a single bullet wound to the head, according to an autopsy done by the state's chief medical examiner.
The body of 45-year-old Dzemal Cardakovic of Manchester was found on South Willow Street in the area of Kaye Street in Manchester around 3:30 p.m.
When police arrived they found the victim unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Tyrese Harris, 22, of Manchester, was arrested soon after and charged with two counts of second-degree murder for: knowingly causing the death of Cardakovic by shooting him with a firearm; and alternatively, for recklessly causing his death.
According to the autopsy, the victim was shot in the face area before the bullet entered the neck.
Harris waived his arraignment on Monday and remains held on preventive detention.
