Man wanted on fentanyl trafficking charge surrenders in Somersworth

CONCORD - A Strafford County fugitive was tracked down by U.S. Marshals on Tuesday night in Somersworth.

Samuel Warren, 34, with no known address, was being sought on an arrest warrant issued last month for Strafford County Superior Court bail violations on a fentanyl trafficking case.

As part of this investigation, Warren had been featured as the "Fugitive of the Week" on Nov. 3.

U.S. Marshals and Somersworth Police both received multiple tips that pointed to an apartment on Franklin Street in Somersworth. The Somersworth Police Department and members of the US Marshals NH Joint Fugitive Task Force responded to the area and made contact with a resident who denied that Warren was there.

There was a lot of information indicating that Warren was in the residence and was possibly armed, prompting the Somersworth Police Department to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

The Strafford County Regional Tactical Operations Unit was activated, and affter a period of time, contact was established with Warren who voluntarily exited the residence and was taken into custody.

Warren was initially transported to the Somersworth Police Department where he was processed and then taken to Strafford County Jail pending his appearance in the Strafford County Superior Court later today.
