EAST LEBANON - A motorist was severely injured on Saturday night when the vehicle he was driving ran head-on into a tree near the intersection of Lower Middle and Creamery Hill roads.
The man was lying partially in the roadway after two of his friends had pulled him from a Chevrolet Blazer after the crash, according to a press release from Lebanon Rescue.
The accident victim was transported to the Trauma Center at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
State Police had the road closed for a time as they attempted to reconstruct the accident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m. The vehicle involved in the accident was destroyed.
No other details about the accident or the driver were immediately available.
