Maine State Police Troop A Weekly Report
Tpr. Jonathan Heimbach responded to a burglary on Gore Road, Alfred. The residence is currently vacant and the property owner lives out of state. The real estate broker arrived to find that all of the cooper pipe had been stolen from the residence. Entrance was apparently made through an unlocked garage door and by forcing entry through an interior door. The burglary occurred sometime in the last three weeks.
Tpr. Jonathan Heimbach responded to a burglary on Walker Road, Lyman. The property owner was away from the house for approximately 1.5 hours and returned to find that her door had been forced open. The damage to the door indicates that it was knocked open but there were no tool marks or shoe prints. The majority of the residence was untouched with apparent intrusion into the living room and two bedrooms. At this time, the only thing that is reported missing is a .177 caliber BB gun in a case.
Tpr. Matthew Williams covered a burglary on Clarks Mills Rd, Hollis on 10/9/13. $600-$800 worth of change was stolen. Entry was made through the rear sliding door.
10-14-13 Tpr. David Coflesky and Sgt. Jonathan Shapiro along with the assistance of Tpr. Matthew Williams, Tpr. Jonathan Heimbach and the Biddeford and Sanford Police departments were able to locate a vehicle which was involved in a burglary in Alfred. After meeting with ANDREW DAVIS (37 y.o.) and REBECCA PAULHUS (41 y.o.) they admitted to entering the house in Alfred and described how they had entered the house and they claimed they thought the house was abandoned. PAULHUS denied that they entered the house with any intent to remove any property, however, DAVIS advised that if it had not been for a neighbor who yelled at them, they would have removed property from the residence. DAVIS gave consent to search his vehicle and numerous items were photographed and will be disseminated to other local agencies for identification. DAVIS and PAULHUS will be charged with burglary.
10/8/13 Tpr. Wells charged ROGER PROVENCHER (54 y.o.)of Springvale with assault after he got into an argument and assaulted a customer at his place of business in Lebanon. PROVENCHER is the owner of AC Provost Towing in Lebanon.
10-12-13 Tpr. Benjamin Smith received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked off the roadway on Gould Road, Dayton. Tpr. Smith arrested PHILIP N. SCHMIDT age 29 of Saco for OUI.
Tpr. Smith summonsed LINDSIE MITCHELL, 22 y.o. of Lebanon for Unlawful Possession of a Schedule W and Z Drug. Also summonsed was DANAY DYMOND , 35 y.o. of Sanford for Unlawful Possession of a Schedule Z Drug. MITCHELL was stopped for following too closely on Rt. 111 in Alfred.
10-11-13 Tpr. Kyle Wells responded to a car into a tree on TM Wentworth Road in Lebanon. While en route, Tpr. Wells learned that a passerby pulled the vehicle out and shortly after, the vehicle crashed into another tree. The passerby picked the operator up and proceeded to flee the scene. As that vehicle attempted to flee, that vehicle crashed into a tree as well. The driver of the vehicle fled off into the woods and the passenger remained on scene. When Tpr. Wells arrived on scene, the passenger started off into the woods and was immediately taken into custody. Tpr. Wells learned that the passenger had an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire for a probation violation. MATTHEW THOMPSON (34 y.o.) of Lebanon was transported to York County Jail and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice. The operator of the vehicle is still unknown at this time.
10-12-13 Tpr. Adam Schmidt was running traffic in Lebanon when he noticed a red Saab with defective headlights. Tpr. Schmidt conducted a motor vehicle stop. When Tpr. Schmidt approached the vehicle he noticed two pistols on the front passenger seat. Next to the pistols were two fully loaded magazines. The operator was identified as JAMES RICHESIN, 28 y.o. of Berwick. RICHESIN agreed to allow the weapons to be secured. A license check on RICHESIN revealed that he was currently subject to a protection order and is currently prohibited from receiving or possessing a firearm. RICHESIN was arrested for the protection order violation and a search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of 284 Rounds of ammunition. RICHESIN was transported to York County Jail.
