Maine State Police probe Poland shooting death

POLAND, Maine - Maine State Police and the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office are investigating a Friday shooting death that occurred in Poland. Police responded to 252 White Oak Hill Road in Poland Friday night around 7:50. where they found the body, according to a statement released from Dept. of Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss on Saturday. The victim was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause and manner of death. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no danger to the public. No additional details surrounding the incident were released, including any details about the person who died.
