ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man has been indicted in a theft case said to have originated in Rochester and been carried out in Berwick, Maine.
Christopher R Walker, 28, of 67 Lower Middle Road, is charged with receiving stolen property and theft of lost or stolen property, both Class C felonies that can carry up to five years in prison apiece.
Walker allegedly acquired a ring believed stolen from a female in Rochester and then sold the ring in Berwick, said Berwick Police Sgt. Jeffrey Pilkington on Thursday.
The York County grand jury indictments were handed down Feb. 4 and released earlier this week.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
