Lebanon Fire-EMS adds forestry truck to dept. fleet

LEBANON - Lebanon Fire ad EMS added a new Forestry Truck to its fleet on Tuesday.

It will replace the old forestry unit, a 1978 Ford, which was taken out of service about a year ago.

The new truck is a 2003 Ford with 200 hours of run time on the pump, according to Lebanon Fire and EMS.

The truck holds 300 gallons of water and has the capability of pumping water as it rolls through the fire ground. The truck also has a foam reservoir plus a built in foam eductor, according to a Lebanon Fire-EMS press release.

With two mounted hose reels, it can carry both structural hose and forestry hose, making it valuable for any type of small fire, from grass fires to car fire

The truck will also be able to haul the 6-wheel ATV and has an area inside the compartments suitable for the stokes rescue basket and backboard, making it the perfect utility vehicle for search and rescue situations.
