ROCHESTER - The Rochester Recreation Department will hold an educational 'Walk & Talk,' at the Rochester Common, on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Rochester Historical Society board member and Recreation Department team member Bob Griffin will lead a group around the park, highlighting various points of interest along the way.

Assistant Director of Recreation Lauren Krans describes the event as a great way to explore Rochester's rich history at everyday sights. Tour highlights will include the bandstand, soldier's monument and the nearby Old Cemetery.

"We hosted our first 'Walk & Talk' in May at the Dominicus Hanson Pines and it was a huge success," said Krans. "We're excited to continue exploring Rochester's history through our beautiful parks!"

The event is free and open to the public. No registration or RSVP is required. Attendees are encouraged to meet at the bandstand and wear comfortable walking shoes. Weather-related cancellations will be posted at www.RochesterRec.com and on Facebook.
