Jeffrey Conger ... enjoyed tinkering in his workshop

BARRINGTON - Jeffrey Scott Conger, 79, of Barrington, died after complications due to old age and multiple struggles with cancer.

Jeff was born March 26, 1942, in Morristown, N.J. He was active in the Army, serving overseas in Germany. Husband of the late Anne Marie Conger, and father to the late Jesse Scott Conger, and Donald Lee Conger.

Jeff worked as a mechanic and carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, as well as tinkering in his workshop. He preferred this simple life at home with the company of good friends and neighbors.

He will be missed by many, who are thankful for having known him - and thankful he is at rest, no longer in pain.
