LEBANON - Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole suffered a head injury this morning while on a medical call for Lebanon Rescue, according to a statement from Rescue Chief Samantha Cole released late this afternoon.
According to the statement, “While working at a serious medical emergency this morning, Assistant Chief Jason Cole received a head injury and was transported by Frisbie paramedics to Frisbie Hospital. He underwent several tests including a cat scan, x-rays and wound care. They were eventually able to control his bleeding with 15 staples in his head. He spent six hours in the emergency room and will be out of all work until at least Thursday.”
The message stated the staples will remain in for another seven to 10 days.
The injury prevented Selectman and Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole and Rescue Chief Samantha Cole from attending an executive session with selectmen that was expected to resolve what has become a simmering dispute over negative comments Jason Cole made on social media about a town business.
The meeting is on hold until the Coles can meet us together, Selectmen Chair Karen Gerrish said today.
