The Rochester Public Library Teen Room is hosting a variety of activities for teens aged 12-18 throughout the month of January. Highlights include:

  • Winter Teen Book Challenge (starting January 1): Participants can win raffle prizes and receive a free book upon completing the challenge by May 5.
  • Maker Mondays (January 6 and 13): Drop-in crafts from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm, featuring String Art and Button Making.
  • Early Release Day (January 8): Create paper circuits at 12:00 pm.
  • Teen Think Tank (Jan. 13 at 6 PM): Share ideas and enjoy pizza while planning future events.
  • Needle Felting Workshop (January 22): Sign-up is required at the Main Desk or by phone.
  • Hunger Games Double Feature (January 27, starting at 2:00 pm): Watch The Hunger Games and Catching Fire with pizza served between movies.

Additionally, teens are encouraged to drop anytime to enjoy the makerspace, play games, explore scavenger hunts, or check out books and Playaways.
