FARMINGTON - Jana Lee Young, 57, of Farmington, N.H., died on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at her home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She passed with her family by her side.
Jana was born in Rochester on January 20, 1959, the daughter of E. Wilson and Marjorie Dunbar. She was a dedicated employee at Liberty Mutual for many years. Jana devoted her life to spending time with her family, friends and her two dogs. She had an incredible spirit and was an inspiration to many who knew her. Her love and passion for life was admirable and her laugh was infectious. Jana battled cancer courageously for 11 years and always strived to create awareness. For the last few years, Jana and her family participated in the Prouty, an organization devoted to raising funds to support cancer research and patient services at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center. It was her hope that through increasing awareness, eventually, we could beat cancer altogether.
Jana is survived by her husband Sherman, her son Justin Young and his husband Brian Finnerty; her daughter Jaye Young-Ejarque and her husband Anthony Ejarque; and her two grandchildren Anabella and Antonio Ejarque, who she adored more than anything. She is also survived by her brother John Dunbar and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
